There are many cross-platform mobile device development options that support both Android and iOS. I'm looking into them. I want to write mobile applications that work on Android and iOS devices with minimal platform-specific rewriting. I'd like to make use of "advanced" cell phone features such as accelerometers, GPS, and so forth.

I've attached a spreadsheet that is a snapshot of my work-in-progress. Obviously, there is a lot of research left to do.
